Ioulia Georgiopoulou has obtained her PhD in Chemical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens.
Her doctoral dissertation involves the recovery of bioactive compounds from algae using green technologies. Her research focuses on the exploration of single or combined techniques of extracting natural, high value-added products from algae biomass. She has participated in 3 research projects, and has publications in international peer reviewed journals (8) and communications in national (2) and international (4) conferences.
