Prinos Nikos has obtained his diploma from National Technical University of Athens.
His doctoral dissertation involves the experimental study and thermodynamic modeling of mixtures containing third generation Ionic Liquids (ILs) and Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs). His work focuses on the experimental study of the physical-chemical properties of ILs and DESs and of the solubility of bioactive compounds in these ILs and DESs. Additionally, he is working on the development of a new activity coefficient model that is based on the theory of COSMO- RS model. An important aim of the thesis is the combination of the above model with the PR equation of state via the Universal Mixing Rules with the aim to predict accurately the phase equilibrium of complex mixtures at high pressures.
He has significant experience in programming and development of thermodynamic models and he has research experience in one research project.
